- There is no automated decision-making anywhere regarding personal data.
- IT recycling receives data carriers from customers that may contain personal data. Data carriers can be: hard disks – tapes – phones – and any other digital media. The purpose of this is always to properly destroy all data contained on those data carriers. So this can be personal data but also other confidential data. IT recycling will never access these data carriers – never copy them – never make the information on them visible, accessible or stored in any way. All IT recycling does with data carriers is to destroy the data as quickly as possible, or destroy the entire data carrier. IT recycling will never keep data carriers longer than strictly necessary for our process. Data carriers that may still contain personal data will be stored properly and for as short a time as possible until the data is destroyed or the entire data carrier is destroyed.
- It is impossible for IT recycling is to find out which personal data are on which data carriers. Thus, regarding collected data carriers for destruction, we can never provide access to personal data, we can never determine when certain personal data was destroyed. So we can also never say whether we are or were in possession of anyone’s personal data at all. IT recycling will also never attempt to find or search anyone’s personal data on data carriers collected for destruction. We will not respond to requests to start destroying specific personal data of particular person(s), because we just destroy everything and as quickly as we can.
- IT Recycling uses a camera system for property security. Images from these cameras are erased after one month.
