Data Privacy Day 2020: IT recycling and XS4ALL
As part of Data Privacy Day 2020, Internet provider XS4ALL had come up with a fun initiative for all customers.
Everyone was allowed to come to XS4ALL’s office in Amsterdam to throw their depreciated hard disks, phones and DVDs through the shredder.
And that at XS4ALL’s expense, so it cost the customer nothing! [clearfix]
Report from the shredder day!
On Tuesday, January 28, the time had come: our mobile hard disk shredder was set up right in front of the XS4ALL headquarters.
And there was even a beautiful yellow carpet, the color of XS4ALL.
Customers came from all over the country to see with their own eyes how their harddisk went into the shredder.
The interest was enormous!
We ourselves enjoyed the conversations enormously, some people had hard disks lying in the closet for 10 years because they didn’t know what to do with them.
The mobile hard disk shredder from IT recycling is really only meant for professional use for companies, but we have clearly seen that it is also highly appreciated by individuals!
