What is ISO certification?

ISO certification is official proof that an organization complies with international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization ( ISO). It is a globally recognized seal of approval that indicates a company has its processes under control, continuously improves them, and successfully passes external audits conducted by independent parties.

At IT-Recycling, it’s not just about a single certificate, but about a comprehensive management system. We are certified to the three most important standards in our industry: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 14001.

ISO 9001 is the cornerstone of our quality management system. This standard focuses on customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement of our services.

It ensures that our processes related to hardware intake and customer service are predictable, transparent, and consistently of a high standard.

Is ISO certification mandatory?

Strictly legally speaking, ISO certification for a recycling company is not required by law. However, in practice it is indispensable. Whereas certifications such as WEEELABEX focus specifically on the technical aspects of waste processing, our ISO certifications guarantee the quality and safety of our entire organization. From initial customer contact to secure logistics and final reporting.

Many governments and large organizations today require their partners to be ISO-certified. This is because it provides the security that a non-certified company simply cannot provide. Without ISO certifications, you as a customer run a greater risk of unstructured processes, poor data security or environmental damage. At IT Recycling, we therefore consider these certifications our license to operate.
