This week we had a fun job in the heart of Rotterdam, near the Lijnbaan. We were clearing out an office following a business relocation. What made this job unique was that the office was located on the first and second floors of an old, former apartment building—and therefore had no elevator. Since we were dealing with old, worn-out office furniture that needed to be hauled away, we decided to throw everything down via the balcony. First, we carefully secured the area where it would land with wood and cardboard, and placed plastic crates on the street below.
After that, we were able to move everything out onto the balcony. We carefully took apart the larger pieces of furniture and office furniture using a hammer.

All this produced one nice fimlpje of unique footage.
We at IT Recycling often clean up office furniture. This is often combined with the disposal of computer waste. But we are also regularly asked to carry out a complete company clearance or office clearance.
In this case here in Rotterdam, we agreed on a price with the customer in advance. It was an all-inclusive price, and in this case even included the removal of computer waste and the destruction of data on hard drives and tapes.
As you can see in the video, we started at 9 a.m., and by noon we had finished cleaning up, so the apartment or office was ready to be handed over to the owner. The owner will then rent it out again as premium office space in the heart of Rotterdam. A unique location!
