What is ISO certification?

An ISO certification is official proof that an organization meets international standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is a globally recognized seal of approval indicating that a company controls its processes, continuously improves and passes external audits by independent parties with flying colors.

At IT Recycling, it’s not about one certificate, but an integrated management system. We are certified for the three main standards in our industry: ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 14001.

Is ISO certification mandatory?

Strictly legally speaking, ISO certification for a recycling company is not required by law. However, in practice it is indispensable. Whereas certifications such as WEEELABEX focus specifically on the technical aspects of waste processing, our ISO certifications guarantee the quality and safety of our entire organization. From initial customer contact to secure logistics and final reporting.

Many governments and large organizations today require their partners to be ISO-certified. This is because it provides the security that a non-certified company simply cannot provide. Without ISO certifications, you as a customer run a greater risk of unstructured processes, poor data security or environmental damage.
