About us
IT-recycling was founded in 1994 by Steef Stadelmaier as a retail company for used computers, specifically targeting students in Nijmegen. The first computers were assembled from recycled parts Steef collected from befriended companies. From this emerged a store and an international wholesale business, supplemented by a collection service for old hardware. Until 2008, Steef Computers sold hardware from a store in Uden.
For more than 20 years, IT recycling has been known as a pioneer in computer recycling in the Netherlands. The name reflects exactly what we do. The company IT recycling does IT recycling. We were the first in the Netherlands to do IT recycling, which is why the name of our company is IT recycling.
In 2008, Ara Nalbandyan and Lusi Nazaryan joined the company. Together with Steef, they have built IT recycling into the best computer recycling service in the Netherlands.
In October 2024, IT recycling became part of Eyeti Group, a fast-growing organization specializing in hardware and software solutions and IT services for businesses and governments. Eyeti focuses on sustainable IT and with the acquisition of IT recycling, the circle of reuse is completely closed.
Looking to the future, Steef, Ara and Lusi will hand over management to Jeroen Stabel and Bram Sauer in mid-2026. Both gentlemen bring fresh energy and years of experience in the ICT industry.
IT recycling currently serves more than 11,000 customers and this number is growing daily. We collect computer waste and provide certified data destruction, both for small business owners and large organizations such as hospitals and ministries. By partnering with Eyeti, we expect to further expand our customer base.
