After on-site destruction of hard disks and tapes, of course, shreds remain. These chips are collected in plastic bins directly under the shredder. During on-site destruction, we can change these bins at lightning speed. These bins are aligned with the logistics system of the final processor of the hard disk chips. After destroying the hard disks and tapes, we take away the shreds. For this, you will receive an environmental document.

IT Recycling then ensures that the chips are recycled according to the latest technology and with maximum care for the environment.

WEEELABEX certification

Almost 100% of the metal is recovered from the chips of the hard disks. The lion’s share is aluminum but it also contains low concentrations of other metals such as copper, lead, zinc, neodymium, nickel and even a minuscule amount of precious metals.

IT Recycling has WEEELABEX certification to guarantee 100% legal recycling. For recycling, we only do business with other WEEELABEX parties. Upon request, you will receive statistics on the quantity, composition and method of recycling shredded hard drives.
