Why recycle?
Electronic devices contain harmful substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium, and these substances can cause serious environmental damage if not disposed of properly. By recycling discarded computers, these hazardous materials are responsibly disposed of and reused. In addition, electronics recycling reduces the need for new raw materials, which in turn reduces mining and energy consumption. Recycling in an environmentally friendly way, in other words. And in some cases, there are still enough valuable raw materials in your old electronics to make a buck.
